Hi there, been a while.
I realized that I've never uploaded the coat of arms, respectively linked to the relevant sources, so here they are:
Current Coat of Arms, as currently in use:
Source: Database of Tyrolean Coats of Arms by Tiroler Landesmuseen, 4 entries (interesting because of sources)
And the photos for the framed page of the registry of Coats of Arms I have, I currently don't know which one that was though. (It's not Siebmacher)
You'll note that those coats of arms differ from each other.
My current understanding is that one is Tyrolean, which at the time was a separate state, the other (lower one) a Holy Roman Empire one.
The lower one indicates an imperial rank above mere knighthood, my understanding is "reichsunmittelbarer Freiherr" - equivalent to a Baron, but outside the local hierarchy, but in direct vassalship to the king/emperor.
Also, it's a combination coat which you'd typically get by marriage. How that interacts with the house signet - no idea.
I'll research when I find time, very low priority though.
Context for non-Austrians: after the dissolution of the Holy Roman Empire 1806 the legal status of "reichsunmittelbar" became meaningless, and the rank got transferred into the local nobility wherever the family was residing.
In Austria after WWI all titles of nobility became voided, and all indicators thereof, like the "von" got struck from the name.
So it's essentially meaningless nowadays. :)
Caveat: It's well possible that the second coat of arms is from a different branch of the family. If anyone knows anything, I'd apprechiate a note.
Jakob
